How to Grow your own Audience: Alternative Methods of Distribution and Marketing for Documentary Films.
Presented by the International Documentary Association
Digital Hollywood has evolved into the definitive technology and brand / advertising conference for the digital era during the past 17 years. Held twice a year in the Los Angeles area, and twice a year in New York City, Digital Hollywood has become a fixture on everyone’s annual conference schedule in our industry.
In order to get the Content Summits off the ground the conference looked outside the organization and enlisted the help of Gerber Rigler Consulting whose diverse background on various content platforms was an appropriate fit. Both partners, Brian Gerber and Thomas Rigler, have produced and created programming for television, motion pictures and emerging media as well as initiated start-ups and new business ventures in the technology / social marketing arena.
The Digital Hollywood Content Summit is the latest addition to the program. According to Victor Harwood, President and Founder of Digital Hollywood, it was time to expand the showcase towards storytellers from all arenas working in Hollywood today – digitally or traditionally.
Victor Harwood: “Twice a year we’re setting the stage and bring everyone out here to share thoughts about innovation and technology and the future of everything ... and we simply provide an opportunity to meet and talk. Digital Hollywood has set some trends, broke its share of news and we’ve come to realize that content creation and production would be the next frontier for us to cross”.
Our distinguished participating partners and special events in 2010 included: Abrams Artists Agency, Babelgum, Big Fantastic, Blip TV, Break Media, CauseCast, Comcast Media, Comedy Central, Tim Kring's Conspiracy For Good, Demand Media, Eqal, Endemol, Epix, 42 Entertainment, Fox Mobile, Funny or Die, G4, Huffington Post Impact, IFAW, imdB, Innovative Artists, Levi's, Lionsgate Digital Media, McCann-Erickson, MTV, MSN, New Video, New Wave Entertainment, Participant Media, PublicAffairs Books, Screen Media Ventures, Six Point Harness, SnagFilms, Starlight Runner Entertainment, Stick Figure Productions, St.Martin's Press, The Onion, 20th Century Fox, Weller Grossman.
